Laura Rutledge is a pro’s pro.

The veteran ESPN host and reporter is one of the best in the business. The University of Florida graduate turned ESPN star is one of the most important figures at the network. Rutledge hosts ESPN’s “NFL Live” each weekday, while also serving as a host of the SEC Network’s college football pregame shows. She’s been doing sideline reporting work on “Monday Night Football,” too.

But while Rutledge is a veteran with a ton of fans, some of her “Monday Night Football” outfits have faced criticism, including what she wore this week, for the San Francisco 49ers vs. Carolina Panthers game.

Monday evening, the 37-year-old sideline reporter rocked a custom blue suit. She shouted out her designer on her Instagram Story.

The veteran ESPN reporter rocked a blue pinstripe suit with a light blue dress shirt underneath.

Rutledge’s designer was very happy with how it turned out.

“I am so fortunate to be part of styling/creating suits for Laura Rutledge,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

“Beautiful inside and out is an understatement.”

But not everyone was a fan of the outfit.

Some fans criticized Rutledge’s Monday night look

Some fans took issue with Rutledge’s Monday night look, calling it old-fashioned and dated.

“Laura Rutledge is young, but some of her outfits have been quite dated. These looks were definitely not home runs on the famous sports reporter,” one outlet argued.

Another fan thought that the lapel decision for her suit was questionable, too.

“Fashion police questions. Joe vs. Troy: discuss. Also, Laura Rutledge has two buttonholes in her lapel, both empty. Thoughts?” one fan wrote.

Rutledge, of course, is not on ESPN because of her outfits, but because of her professionalism and her talents.

Still, what did you make of her Monday night outfit?
