Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker receives annual recognition for his “outstanding sportsmanship.”

On Wednesday, the NFL announced the 32 nominees for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, and Baker has been Arizona’s pick for six straight years.

The last time another Cardinal was selected was back in 2019, when center A.Q. Shipley was the nominee.

The award has been around since 2014, and Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald was the first recipient. Current Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell won it as a member of the Baltimore Ravens in 2022.

Baker has been an invaluable member of the Cardinals throughout his career, not only for his production but the fire with which he plays and leadership he displays.

The veteran is in his ninth season, all with the Cardinals, and he leads the team with 78 total tackles. He intercepted his first pass of the year in Sunday’s loss to Jacksonville.

The eight finalists will be announced next month.
