The Jacksonville Jaguars are managing numerous injuries ahead of their Week 13 game against the Tennessee Titans.Defensive end Travon Walker and offensive lineman Chuma Edoga were among four players who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.Safety Eric Murray has started his 21-day practice window to potentially return from the injured reserve list.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting set for their Week 13 matchup against the Tennessee Titans with another slew of injuries to watch.
Still, it appears the team could be getting healthier just in time for the final month of the season.
Jaguars safety Eric Murray was on IR for the last four games due to a neck injury and the team recently opened his 21-day practice window to return. That means the team will have 21 days to either keep Murray on long-term IR or to activate him to the 53-man roster.
Last week, the Jaguars brought back tight end Brenton Strange after the third-year TE missed five games due to a hip injury. Murray is just beginning his return to play this week, so his availability shouldn’t necessarily be expected against Tennessee.
Last week, several starters missed the game due to injuries, including cornerback Jourdan Lewis (neck), receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle), DE Travon Walker (knee), LB Yasir Abdullah (fingers) and TE Hunter Long (knee/hip).
After not practicing at all last week, Abdullah returned to the practice field on Wednesday ahead of the Titans game.
Among those not seen during the media availability portion of practice were DE Travon Walker, OL Patrick Mekari and DE Danny Striggow (knee). OL Chuma Edoga worked off to the side.
Edoga exited Sunday’s game against Arizona with a calf injury.
Cornerback Christian Braswell was also seen working off to the side. Braswell played a large number of snaps after the team decided to bench CB Greg Newsome II early in the contest.
