How the tables have turned.

The 49ers announced on Wednesday they signed linebacker Eric Kendricks to their practice squad.

Kendricks, a 10-year NFL veteran, famously agreed to a one-year contract with San Francisco during the 2024 offseason before backing out of the agreement to sign a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

San Francisco responded to Kendricks spurning them in free agency by immediately signing linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, who shocked the NFL world by refusing to play in San Francisco’s Week 15 game and was suspended for the final three games of the season.

Kendricks played in and started 15 games for Dallas last season, recording 138 combined tackles with two interceptions, three passes defensed, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, three sacks, four tackles for loss and three quarterback hits.

After backing out of an agreement with the 49ers about a year and a half ago, Kendricks finally signs with San Francisco.
