The Buffalo Bills fell short against the Houston Texans in Week 12 and to rebound, they’re going to need quarterback Josh Allen ready to go against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
But now, there’s been a new development with Allen. The Bills have been dealing with plenty of injuries as of late. Some players are out for the season, while others are on a week-to-week status.
During the team’s loss to the Texans in Week 12, Buffalo’s roster took another injury hit. Offensive tackle Dion Dawkins and guard Spencer Brown were both injured during the game, and Allen also went down at one point, which led to plenty of gasps from the crowd.

Allen had been expected to take the field against the Steelers on Sunday, but now, that’s a bit in question. Before practice on Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott talked about the team’s current injury situation, and he shared that Allen is now on the injury report.
The good news is that the reigning MVP was still a full participant in practice, as he deals with general soreness. So, there’s a chance he may not miss any time.
Also ahead of practice, McDermott discussed tight end Dalton Kincaid’s injury status, saying, “there’s a chance” he’ll be able to play in the Week 13 showdown, even though he didn’t practice on Wednesday. Players who didn’t practice on Wednesday include Terrel Bernard, Brown, Kincaid, Curtis Samuel and Dawkins. Also, cornerback Maxwell Hairston and defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis were limited for Wednesday’s practice.
Following the loss to the Colts, Allen took the blame.
“It’s not fun. I ran into a couple myself,” Allen said, according to the NFL. “I have to be better with throwing the ball away, living to see another down, letting us play some situational football and pinning them deep. Too many times, I was going backwards, and I have to be better on that.”
