The Cleveland Browns got back in the win column in Week 12, via a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, to improve to 3-8 on the season. It was a thrilling punctuation to Shedeur Sander’s first start, but also had some notable implications on the 2026 draft order.
With each and every passing week, the Browns draft position will be heavily impacted the rest of the way as they jockey with sever of the other struggling teams for the No. 1 overall pick. The Browns are also one of several teams that own owners two first round picks, after their 2025 draft night trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars that saw them add the Jags 2026 first round pick in a multi-pick trade package.

A third win pushes the Browns higher in the order, as they now possess the sixth overall pick, one spot behind the two win Raiders quad they just defeated this past weekend. As for Cleveland’s second first rounder, Jacksonville currently finds itself in the playoff picture, which projects their first round pick in the early 20s at the moment.

The Browns finished the 2024 campaign 3-14 and with the No. 2 overall pick in this past April’s draft. On the night of round one general manager Andrew Berry wound up shipping the pick and a few other later round selections to the Jaguars in exchange for the No. 5 overall pick, pick No. 36 in the second round, pick No. 126 in the fourth round and that future first in 2026.

Cleveland’s 2025 draft class is easily one of the best in the NFL, with linebacker Carson Schwesinger, running back Quinshon Judkins, defensive tackle Mason Graham and tight end Harold Fannin Jr. all looking like potential cornerstone players for the franchise moving forward.
The 2026 draft will be another pivotal one for Berry (assuming he’s still here) as he looks to have similar success identifying and selecting players – potentially even a QB – that will help complete a roster rebuild and bring the Browns back into playoff contention.
