As the college football regular season starts to come to a close, it can be assumed that Bill Belichick’s tenure as the North Carolina Tar Heels’ head coach will as well.
When Bill Belichick was hired by UNC, it was with the expectation that his success he had established at the NFL level would translate over to the college level as well. That was not the case, and instead, UNC has a 4-7 record ahead of their final matchup against the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
A split between UNC and Bill Belichick seems inevitable, and with that, it has already been rumored that Belichick could end up returning to the NFL.

With teams having interest in hiring Bill Belichick, the one team that makes sense to hire him if this does end up happening is the Arizona Cardinals.

Bill Belichick Will Be the Next Arizona Cardinals Head Coach
Things have once again fallen off the rails for the Arizona Cardinals’ season. While they have shown signs of hope and progress, they keep end up falling short in the end. Things have not worked out for Jonathan Gannon as a head coach, as he holds a 15-30 record over three seasons since taking over as Arizona’s head coach.
With the Cardinals currently sitting with a 3-8 record this season, it is clear he is not the right coach to turn Arizona around. The inconsistent play from the team under Gannon is something the Cardinals can’t keep going through, and instead need a coach that can provide stability.
The coach that Arizona can turn to hire to provide that stability is Bill Belichick. For as much as things haven’t worked out for Belichick at UNC, it doesn’t take away from how good of a coach he is at the NFL level. Belichick would bring a new style of coaching to the Cardinals with his preparation, and detailed system that would help get better play out of the team.
Between Bill Belichick’s experience and coaching style, he would be the ideal coach to get the Cardinals back on track quickly. For Belichick, the Cardinals might not seem ideal, but to have the chance to turn the team back around in a talented NFC West, and further add to his legacy by accomplishing this, should end up being attractive to Belichick to become their next head coach.
