The Atlanta Falcons defeated the New Orleans Saints 24-10 on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome.

The loss dropped New Orleans to 2-9 while the Falcons improved to 4-7.

The Saints were attempting a comeback in the fourth quarter when Atlanta quarterback Kirk Cousins threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Darnell Mooney to put the game away. It was Cousins’ second touchdown pass. Atlanta added three field goals.

The Saints and rookie quarterback Tyler Shough were able to move the ball but couldn’t get in the end zone, especially in the second half. The Saints were stopped on fourth-and-1 from the 1 and then had to kick a field goal after not being able to score from first-and-goal from the 1. The 33-yard field goal by Blake Grupe partly made up for two earlier missed kicks.
