HOUSTON, Texas (KETK) — The Houston Texans 2025 schedule was released Wednesday night revealing four primetime games and some heavy AFC competition.

According to Fox Sports, the Texans are number 18 in the strength of schedule ranking, despite facing AFC contenders such as the Ravens in week 5, Bills in week 12 and Chiefs in week 14.
The Texans are coming off an impressive 2024 season with a 10-7 regular season record and a playoff win vs the Los Angeles Chargers. They fell short to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round, but they managed to capture another AFC South title.
Notable GamesWeek 2: Buccaneers VS Texans
The Texans will host their home opener during Monday Nigh Football as they face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the fourth highest scoring offense in 2024. These two teams have only played each other six times in league history, with the Texans coming out on top five of those times.
Week 7: Texans VS Seahawks
The Texans will take their longest trip of the season all the way to Seattle for this Monday Night Football matchup. The Seahawks haven been struggling in the quarterback room the past couple years and they went all in on Sam Darnold this offseason. After an impressive season with the Vikings, it’s clear that Darnold is comfortable with adapting to new environments, giving the Texan’s defense an exciting and new challenge.
Week 12: Bills VS Texans
Once again, the league will see C.J. Stroud battle against Buffalo’s electrifying QB, Josh Allen during Thursday Night Football. Last year, these two teams butted heads for four straight quarters with the Texans taking a 23-20 victory. Both of these teams met their playoff demise at the hands of Patrick Mahomes in 2024 and fans anticipate if this is the year they see a new AFC champion.
Week 14: Texans VS Chiefs
Houston fans were left with a bitter taste in their mouths last January after witnessing an offensive performance riddled with penalties in the divisional round. This year, the C.J. Stroud led offensive will be given a chance to redeem themselves during a highly anticipated Sunday Night Football matchup. Nobody knows how healthy these two teams will be during the final stretch of the regular season, but keeping a steady starting roster will be crucial to the outcome of this game.
