The LA Rams (9-2) are visiting the Carolina Panthers (6-6) Sunday as they try to win their seventh straight and maintain their lead atop the NFC. Kickoff from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, is set for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Rams vs. Panthers odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Rams took over sole possession of first place in the NFC last week when they crushed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 34-7. Paired with the Philadelphia Eagles‘ loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the Rams are now alone at 9-2. They’ve won 6 games in a row, including a 3-game stretch of beating the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Buccaneers.
After starting the year 5-4, the Panthers have gone 1-2 in their last 3 games, with losses to the New Orleans Saints and 49ers. They’ve scored 16 or fewer points in 5 of their last 6 games, topping 10 points only once in their last 3. They were completely shut down by the 49ers on Monday Night Football in Week 12, scoring just 1 touchdown in a 20-9 loss.

By no means is the Rams ML worth touching at -650. They’re clearly the better team but at that number, it’s not even worth including in a parlay — especially with how unpredictable the Panthers have been at times this season.
PASS on the ML.
The Rams are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games, with their lone loss being a 2-point win over the Seahawks as 3-point favorites. They’ve had little trouble covering the spread lately and there’s no reason to believe that’ll change this week.
The Panthers were completely overmatched by San Francisco last week and will now be without both Horn and Moehrig on defense. Give the points with the RAMS -10.5 (-105).
The Panthers have scored 16 or fewer points in 5 of their last 6 and will now face the best defense in the league. Carolina will have issues moving the ball against Los Angeles’ defense, especially with how suffocating the pass rush is.
Even knowing how well the Rams offense is playing right now, the Panthers won’t carry their own weight on the Over/Under. BET UNDER 45 (-110).
