The New England Patriots (10-2), the top seed in the AFC after 12 weeks, take on the last seed in the NFC, the New York Giants (2-10), on Monday Night Football this week.
There doesn’t seem like much for bettors to choose from here, but there is. The Patriots are soaring with second-year quarterback Drake Maye under center and have the NFL’s eighth-best offense.
The Giants are getting rookie sensation Jaxson Dart back this week from a concussion, and, although they’ve lost six straight, they were leading in the fourth quarter the last three weeks.
Here are the three top prop bets in the game, per BetMGM.
Spread: Giants +7.5 (-118)
As stated above, the Giants have lost their last three games by one score or less. The 7.5-point spread means New England has to win by two scores, and if they have to come back to do so, probably won’t cover. They may be on a nine-game winning streak, but they’ve won by six points or less in three of their last four.
Anytime TD scorer: Jaxson Dart (+320, hit rate: 66.7%)
Jaxson Dart has scored seven rushing touchdowns in just nine games played this season. He is third among quarterbacks in that category this year behind only Josh Allen (10) and Jalen Hurts (8). The Patriots, surprisingly, are last in the NFL in red zone defense, allowing touchdowns 73 percent of the time.
Jaxson Dart passing TDs: Over 1.5 (+150; avg: 1.1)
This is a little trickier as Dart will be facing the Pats’ sixth-ranked passing defense in this game. But the bet is for touchdowns, not yards. Dart is averaging 1.1 passing touchdowns per game this year, but that is for his games played, not started. He has started just seven games, and his average is 1.4 in those games. With New England having issues in the red zone, this could end up being a solid play here.
