Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on with a major AFC South showdown this afternoon featuring the Houston Texans visiting the Indianapolis Colts at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Colts let an 11-point fourth-quarter lead against the Chiefs slip away last week, eventually falling 23-20 in an overtime loss that dropped their division lead down to one game. Wide receiver Josh Downs wasn’t much of a factor in the loss and he’s been a bit quiet this month.

Below, we’ll go over Downs’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 13.

Fantasy Football analysis: Colts WR Josh Downs

Downs caught just two of six targets for 10 yards in last week’s loss to the Chiefs and he’s been stymied for just a combined 13 yards total over his last two outings. The third-year wideout had three straight games with a touchdown at the midway point of the season and was cruising right along before this recent slump. Downs is squarely the Colts’ fourth pass-catching option behind Tyler Warren, Alec Pierce, and Michael Pittman Jr. and is the only one of that group not averaging at least 10 yards per catch.

The receiver has been a solid red-zone option for the team, catching 70% of his targets with all three of his scores coming inside the 20. We’ll see if he can crack a stingy Texans defense this afternoon.

Start. I think it will be a point of emphasis to get Downs going and the number of targets that he’ll receive in short-yardage situations could make him a good Flex option in PPR leagues.
