Brendan O’Sullivan provides his top player prop bets for Sunday’s Carolina Panthers vs. Los Angeles Rams matchup.
The Rams and Panthers are far apart in terms of Super Bowl contention, yet both teams could be NFC playoff teams this season. This matchup brings a lopsided game with important playoff implications for both sides.
Los Angeles is a 10.5-point favorite and -675 on the moneyline, while Carolina is +490 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 44.5 points.

Here are my favorite player props for this Week 13 NFL game between the Panthers and Rams.
Panthers vs. Rams Best Prop Bets
Davante Adams over 4.5 receptions (-120)
It’s year 12 for Davante Adams, and he’s still playing at a high level. The veteran wide receiver isn’t the No. 1 option, but he’s one of the best No. 2s in the league for one of the best teams in the NFL.
Adams is up to 12 touchdowns, which leads the NFL. What he lacks is yards and receptions, but the targets are there. Adams has caught 48 of 94 targets, averaging 4.4 receptions per game.
Based on just the average, this is a coin flip, especially since Carolina’s defense is above average against the pass. However, average isn’t the only metric to look at.
My general rule with overs is whether the player has enough volume. Adams clears that mark. He’s earned eight targets in three straight games and hasn’t had a game with less than six all season.
As long as Adams gets the same number of targets as he has all season, there’s good reason to believe he’ll hit over 4.5 receptions for the seventh time this year.
Bryce Young over 31.5 pass attempts (-123)
It’s easy to think the Panthers are a bad team — they have been for quite some time. But this year is different. They’re 6-6 and could win the NFC South since the Buccaneers are rapidly losing games.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the Panthers will make this a competitive game, but they’ll certainly try. It’s hard to keep up with the Rams, but Bryce Young will do his best through the air. Matching Matthew Stafford’s pace will be difficult, and Young will have to sling the rock often to do so.
It should be a pass-heavy game as Carolina desperately tries to steal a victory against the NFC’s top team.
