INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Former Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton joined Countdown to Kickoff on Sunday as the celebrity guest.

Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon has been in the spotlight this season overseeing the football operations.

Hilton shared the impact that Irsay-Gordon has on the team and the Colts organization.

“She’s taking off,” Hilton said. “She’s grown and just watch her be able to take over and lead, that’s what you need and she’s awesome. She gets it from her dad. This is amazing to see and I love it, man. She’s a blessing. All his daughters are great and she’s just taking it to the next level.”

Irsay-Gordon was active with the team when Hilton was with the Colts, and he shared how she interacted with him in meeting rooms and at practice.

“I love it, man,” Hilton said. “I remember when I was there and she would come in receiving meeting rooms and she would just ask questions. ‘T.Y., what does this mean? What’s going on here? How do we know what you got?’ And then we got on the field and she had the little script that we have, going over the practice script and then she’d come back to me and ask me, ‘Okay, so this means this?’ I kind of explained it to her.”

Hilton played 10 of his 11 seasons of his NFL career with the Colts. He was a four-time Pro Bowler with Indianapolis.

Hilton led the NFL with 1,448 receiving yards in 2016. He had 9,691 receiving yards in his 10 seasons in Indianapolis. He had 631 catches and 53 touchdown in his career with the Colts.

The Colts take on the Houston Texans on Sunday, looking to snap a three game losing streak against their divisional foe. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
