Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix was clutch against the Washington Commanders on Sunday night.

Nix led the Broncos on a touchdown drive to start overtime, the defense made a huge play at the buzzer, and Denver escaped Washington with a dramatic 27-26 victory.

On the evening, Nix finished 29-45 for 321 yards, a touchdown and an interception. But with the game tied 20-20 after regulation, the Broncos got the ball and Nix had a monster completion to Evan Engram that eventually set up an RJ Harvey touchdown.

Nik Bonitto batted a Marcus Mariota pass down on a two-point conversion at the end, and the Broncos are 10-2 and riding a nine-game winning streak.

After the game, Bo Nix was asked about all previous 10-2 Denver teams going to the Super Bowl and if that adds pressure. Nix said it didn’t, then gave a great answer that nothing’s changed for this squad.

“Every season starts with a goal and our goal was to make a Super Bowl run. And not just make it, we just want to win the whole thing,” Nix said.

Tied for the No. 1 seed in the AFC, a championship run looks like a real possibility. Still, Bo Nix isn’t satisfied as the calendar flips to December.

“We’re 10-2, we won 10 games last year. And that was at the end of the season and we’re not at the end. So, we’ve shown great improvement, but we definitely don’t want to stop here,” Nix said.

Not stopping will include a game next weekend in Las Vegas against the Raiders, followed by three of the final four in the regular season at Empower Field at Mile High.

“We didn’t want to get to December and be 10-2. That wasn’t our goal, our goal was to make a deep playoff run and we’re clearly not there yet, we haven’t even had time to get there yet,” Nix said. “We’re just going to continue to play as hard as we can.”

That hard play led to a thrilling win over the Commanders, as Bo Nix moved the football when it counted most. But for him, this is just another step in the journey, with the destination hopefully being hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
