The 2025 NFL schedule will officially be released tonight around 8 p.m. ET for all 32 teams, but as is the case every year, individual game leaks tend to emerge before then.
While many of these leaks do wind up coming to fruition, nothing is certain until the official announcement occurs.
In addition to facing their AFC South foes twice, the Houston Texans will play the NFC West and AFC West next season, which includes home games against the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, as well as away games against both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. With the Texans finishing first in the division once more, they’ll also face the same-place finisher in the AFC East and AFC North. With that additional 17th game, they’ll face the NFC South same-place finisher at home.
We will be updating this page as leaks continue to surface involving the Texans’ schedule, so keep checking back for updates.

Another Monday Night Football showdown
One primetime game is set at NRG Stadium. The other? Lumen Stadium. According to multiple reports, the Texans will be on ESPN in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks. Sam Darnold and the Seahawks are looking to make a run under second-year coach Mike Macdonald with a new crop of receivers following the departure of DK Metcalf.
Texans reported to hit the West Coast in Week 1

Texans to open at home vs. NFC South champions
The Texans might not know who they open the season with in Week 1, but they know who they’re playing in their first home game. According to reports, the Texans will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 as the standalone Monday Night Football matchup on ESPN at 7:15 p.m.
Houston last took on Tampa in 2023, which served as the moment when C.J. Stroud locked up the Offensive Rookie of the Year. With 52 seconds remaining, Stroud capped off five straight passes with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Tank Dell with five seconds remaining to secure a 39-37 victory.
Texans won’t open season on Thursday Night Football
Since the Kansas City Chiefs didn’t capture the three-peat last season, a Week 1 kickoff on Thursday Night Football seemed to be off the table. That became official since the NFL announced Monday that the Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 4, to kick off the 2025 season.
