Oregon State football’s 2026 recruiting class is down another player ahead of the early national signing period this week.
Three-star cornerback Cammeron Purnell announced his decommitment from the Beavers on Monday night. Purnell hails from Lincoln High School in San Diego, California.
Purnell is the No. 168 athlete and No. 198 player in California according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He had been committed to the Beavers since June, but received an offer from Arizona State in early November.
The early national signing period runs from Wednesday to Friday. New Beavers coach JaMarcus Shephard and his forthcoming staff will look to expand their class before then.
OSU’s 2026 class currently sits at eight total players: running back Braylon Tolliver (Erie, CO); wide receiver Cynai Thomas (San Francisco, CA); tight end Landon Cook (Concord, CA); linebacker Jeremiah Brown (San Jacinto, CA); cornerback Kai Wheaton (Allen, TX); edge rusher Adel Dorr (Issaquah, WA); safety Deryk Farmer (Medford, OR); and athlete Rocco De La Rosa (Philomath, OR).
