The National Football League’s postseason is set to begin a few days after New Year’s Day, and here’s everything you need to know about the NFL playoffs, including which teams are most likely to make it.

When will NFL playoffs begin?

The 2025 NFL playoffs will begin with Wildcard Weekend — Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026 through Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.

How to watch the NFL playoffs

The NFL hasn’t yet confirmed which networks will broadcast the Wildcard round, but you can expect games broadcast on ABC, CBS, ESPN and FOX, and streamed on ESPN+ and Paramount+.

The playoff bracket will be finalized on Jan. 7 2026, after the conclusion of the last Week 18 game.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears currently have the best chances to make the playoffs from the NFC, according to the NFL’s most recent playoff seeding scenario.

The Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers also have the best chance to clinch playoff berths.

In the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers currently have the best odds to reach the playoffs.
