King was a seventh-round pick to the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 NFL draft. He was cut by the Packers prior to this season, and the Panthers then added him to their practice squad on Aug. 28.

During his time in Happy Valley, King appeared in 38 games, tallying 82 tackles, 25 pass break ups and three interceptions.
