Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Tavius Robinson and safety Ar’Darius Washington returned to practice on Tuesday, per a team announcement.
Robinson landed on injured reserve after suffering a broken foot in Week 6. At the time, John Harbaugh said that his recovery timeline would be “six to eight weeks, very similar to Isaiah Likely’s,” and that appears to be the case. Robinson is returning to practice after six weeks on the shelf (as did Likely), but he may not need as much ramp-up time.
Likely went down so early in training camp that he did not have a chance to physically prepare for the season. He practiced for two weeks before seeing his first in-game action, but Robinson could be ready much quicker, assuming his foot is good to go.
In truth, Robinson was somewhat of a disappointment to start the season. After an encouraging 2024, he has not been able to deliver in a bigger role. He started the first six games of the season and produced one of the year’s early highlights with a strip-sack of ex-Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco in a Week 2 win over the Browns. However, despite a hefty snap share, he struggled to consistently pressure opposing quarterbacks and his run defense appeared to take a step back from last year.
