The Jacksonville Jaguars had no trouble disposing of the Tennessee Titans in Week 13, cruising to a 25-3 win. However, they lost several players to injury throughout the contest, and many of them weren’t available for the first practice ahead of their game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Now, there’s still a bit of time before the Jags welcome Indianapolis at EverBank, so there’s a chance most of these players will be back in the fold. That said, the initial injury report doesn’t inspire confidence.
The Jaguars were without Parker Washington, Travon Walker, and Walker Little
The Jaguars posted their initial Week 14 injury report. Defensive tackle Travon Walker (knee), wide receiver Parker Washington (hip), safety Andrew Wingard (concussion), and left tackle Walker Little were listed as Did Not Practice.
Meanwhile, linebacker Devin Lloyd (chest), offensive guard Chuma Edoga (calf), right guard Patrick Mekari (concussion), defensive tackle Arik Armstead (hand), defensive end Danny Striggow (knee), linebacker Foyesade Oluokun (hamstring), punter Logan Cooke (shoulder), and long snapper Ross Matiscik (back) had the limited designation.

Mekari and Edoga are back in the fold after missing last week’s practice with injuries. Striggow also popped up on the prior report but ultimately suited up against the Titans, so he should be available for the Indianapolis.
One silver lining in the report is that Eric Murray (neck) practiced in full. His 21-day window to return was activated ahead of the Titans game, but he ended up missing the bout. Based on his most recent status, the 10-yard safety is trending in the right direction.
The Jaguars may need to do without Parker Washington
On the one hand, Travon Walker’s inclusion in the report could be a reason for concern. After all, he’s sat out the past two games, and it doesn’t look like he’s closer to returning. Then again, he still has a few days before the Colts game, so his availability may change. In fact, it’s possible that the coaching staff is erring on the side of caution to avoid exposing the former Georgia Bulldog to further injury risk. On the other hand, Parker Washington’s injury might be a bit worrisome.
Washington had a 26-yard gain on one catch before he left the Titans matchup. He didn’t return, and it’s uncertain if he’ll play against Indy. If he ends up sitting out the game, his absence would leave a huge void in the Jacksonville offense.
Along with Jakobi Meyers, Washington has become a key cog in the passing game. In fact, he saw his role increase in light of injuries to fellow receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter. On the bright side, Thomas is back at full strength after missing three games with an ankle sprain. He only hauled in two catches for 28 yards on three targets in Week 13.
With Washington potentially missing the upcoming divisional bout, Thomas could be a bigger part of the game plan.
The bottom line is that the Jaguars have been without key players in prior weeks and will have to once again overcome injuries to repel the Colts in Week 14.
