Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: May 17th, 2025

1) Vikings Head Coach Addresses Tuesday’s Bombshell: Playing overseas for consecutive weeks doesn’t appear to worry Kevin O’Connell. Rather, the team’s top coach is sticking to his characteristic optimism as his team works toward the historic event of playing in Ireland in Week 4 and then England in Week 5.

2) Packers Fans Outraged by Vikings Rumor: Truth be told, I find it hard to calculate the collective response of the Vikings’ fanbase. The Packers’ fans in their entirety? Well, that’s a whole different wheel of cheese. Some may be dismayed, others may be indifferent.

3) Unsung Vikings Rookie Turns Heads: Lots of momentum building for the young linebacker. Kobe King arrived in the 6th, so he gets overshadowed by players who were scooped up higher. Any chance he smashes expectations and proves to be a long-term solution in the LB room? He is, after all, “The Maestro.”

Penn State linebacker Kobe King (41) tackles an Indiana ball carrier in the first half of an NCAA football game at Beaver Stadium Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, in State College, Pa. The Nittany Lions won, 33-24.

4) Ex-Vikings Draft Pick Had Another Monster Game in the UFL: Always good to see. Kenny Willekes moved through no shortage of adversity in his time in Minnesota. The hope is for health and another shot at an NFL roster. Ideally, he’ll find a home in the top football league and go on to have a nice career.

5) Vikings Sign 2 New Players: Part of the offseason process. The new young guys must have shown some intrigue and promise in their short time on Minnesota’s practice field. The work now gets going as they seek to sneak onto the 53-man roster or (more likely) the practice squad.
