Fantasy Week 14 sleepers feature Tyrod Taylor, Blake Corum, Isaac Teslaa

USA TODAY Sports’ Joe Rivera and Jacob Camenker break down why you should consider Tyrod Taylor, Blake Corum, and Isaac Teslaa in Week 14.

In what’s been a tough first year under coach Kellen Moore, the New Orleans Saints came close to earning win No. 3 on the season in Week 13 against Miami.

Quarterback Tyler Shough found Devaughn Vele for a touchdown to cut the Dolphins’ lead to 19-17. The Saints lined up for a two-point conversion to tie the game with less than 90 seconds to go in regulation but Miami’s Minkah Fitzpatrick intercepted Shough’s pass and returned it for two points.

Miami escaped with a 21-17 win and eliminated New Orleans from playoff contention.

New Orleans nearly pulled off the win despite missing one of their best players on offense, Alvin Kamara.

The veteran running back missed his first game of the year in Week 13 with knee and ankle injuries. He did not practice all week and rookie Devin Neal got the start for the Saints in his absence. Neal was solid in his first start with 14 carries for 47 yards and three catches for 22 yards.

New Orleans stays in Florida for another road game in Week 14 against the NFC South-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Will Kamara be back in the lineup? Here’s the latest on his status.

When will Alvin Kamara return?

Kamara did not practice at all leading up to Week 13, but the team did not place him on injured reserve (IR). That means they view the injury as short-term rather than something that will keep him out of the lineup for an extended period.

Kamara was expected to miss a week or two and his status is currently uncertain for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay. New Orleans has not released a practice report at time of publishing.

If he’s not cleared for Week 14, Neal will get his second start for the Saints with Audric Estime in the lineup as his backup.
