The Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14. Both teams have a mirror 8-4 record and are battling for the top spot in the AFC South. On top of that, the Jags will be defending a 10-year-long streak.

Indy hasn’t won a game at EverBank Stadium dating back to 2014. In NFL terms, that’s like decades. Think about it, Gus Bradley was the head coach. And since then, Doug Marrone, Urban Meyer, Doug Pederson, and more recently, Liam Coen have held the position.

Speaking of Coen, he talked about the impressive streak, and how critical the Colts game will be.

Liam Coen isn’t thinking too much about the Jaguars streak vs. the Colts

Liam Coen met with the local media and pointed out that the game will be huge, noting that they want to make fans proud.

“Huge, got the throwback unis back up. And, you know, great opportunity for our organization, for the city, for the fan base, to come out and help support.” Coen said when asked how important the game will be (1:25 mark). “As much as they’re fans of us, we’re fans of them. From all of us, wanting to continue to put a product on the field that everybody can be proud of and entertaining. We are in the entertainment business, and I got to believe that our players are going to play their tails off for our city on Sunday.”

But later in the exchange with the media, Coen said that he’s made it clear the team must focus on the task at hand, and not what’s taken place in the past.

“The message to the team today was, ‘Sure, you guys are all going to ask them the same question, and every year is a new year. Every team is a new team.’ And I think we understand that we’re different, where everything’s new and different, and every year is different,” Coen said.

“So yeah, I think you can hold on to that as something in your back pocket as a player, but ultimately, we got to go beat the Colts, this year’s Colts and this team on Sunday. And you know, hopefully our crowd and fan base is a big part of that.”

Bold Trevor Lawrence prediction for the Jaguars game vs. the Colts

Trevor Lawrence is coming off his best game of the season. That said, he still has room for improvement. Although No. 16 didn’t turn the ball over, he completed less than 60 percent of his throws. He’ll have a chance to build off of his promising performance when the Jaguars face the Colts in Week 14.

Jacksonville should enjoy nice weather Sunday, so Lawrence will have a chance to let it rip. When you take into account that cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner won’t suit up for the Colts, the fifth-year quarterback will have a favorable matchup.

Lawrence has thrown two touchdown passes or more each of the past two weeks. Expect him to continue the streak vs. the Colts.

Prediction: 3 TDs with 1 INT, and a 70% completion rate
