The New York Jets play their penultimate home game of the 2025 season as they host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

It was a roller coaster ride for the Jets (3-9) last Sunday as they went back and forth with the Atlanta Falcons before winning, 27-24.

Tied with 35 seconds left in regulation, QB Tyrod Taylor led the Jets on the game-winning drive, which set up kicker Nick Folk to drill the game-winner from 56 yards out after missing a 55-yard attempt late in the third quarter.

Three of the Jets’ final five games are against divisional opponents as they face the Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots one more time before the end of the season.

The Dolphins (5-7) are coming into this one riding high, currently on a three-game winning streak after defeating the Bills, Washington Commanders and New Orleans Saints.

In the first head-to-head meeting back in September, the Dolphins came out on top, 27-21, in South Beach, with a late touchdown from Jets WR Garrett Wilson making the final score closer than it actually was as Miami had a double-digit lead for a majority of the game.

Here are our staff predictions for Jets vs. Dolphins from MetLife Stadium in Week 14:

Bert Bainbridge

The pick: Dolphins 30, Jets 24

Here’s why: The history is notable with Tua Tagovailoa struggles in cold weather games. 0-8 when the temperature is 45 degrees and below and 0-4 when it’s 40 degrees and colder. I expect that to turn around in Week 14, especially with the weather forecast not expected to be an issue as of now.

I anticipate the Dolphins will follow a similar pattern that the Falcons did and lean heavy on their star running back De’Von Achane, one of the best dual threat running backs in the NFL who’s third in the league in rushing yards (1,034) and sixth in scrimmage yards (rushing and receiving) with 1,404 in 12 games.

Tyrod Taylor and the Jets offense will be able to put up points against a below average Dolphins’ defense, but Miami’s offense, led by Achane, is too much to overcome in this spot.

Bob Jordan

The pick: Dolphins 17, Jets 14

Here’s why: When both teams were dead in the water with 0-3 records, Miami won a Week 4 Monday Night Football meeting and the fish are on a current mini-team, winning three in a row and four of their last five.

Dave Rivera

The pick: Jets 20, Dolphins 17

Here’s why: The Jets are busting out their Gotham City uniforms, they’re at home, and the Dolphins can’t win four in row, right?
