The Chicago Bears will look to continue their incredible 2025 season this weekend as they take on the rival Green Bay Packers for first place in the NFC North, with both teams having significantly upgraded their rosters this year.
While Chicago took their time and methodically built up their roster this offseason, Green Bay struck big right before the season started, acquiring star defensive pass rusher Micah Parsons in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys. As expected, Parsons continues to excel at his position and thrive in his first year with Green Bay, having already totaled 12.5 sacks and 38 total tackles in the team’s first 12 games.

For this week’s edition of “Gimme Him,” we’re locked in on adding Parsons to this Dennis Allen-led Bears defense imagining the possibilities of what that pass rush unit would look like.
Green Bay’s acquisition of Parsons before the season definitely felt like a blow to the rest of the NFC North, putting a Packers team in prime position to make a big run this season. Now at 8-3-1, the game against Chicago is incredibly important not just for the season standings, but the future of both teams and where they are headed over the next few years.
The Bears attempted to bolster their pass rush unit by adding Dayo Odeyingbo in free agency, but he was lost early in the season due to a torn Achilles. Adding Parsons to Chicago would give them a bonafide superstar on defense, one who’s had at least 12 sacks in each of his first five seasons in the NFL.
The former first-round pick of the Cowboys had his biggest season in 2023, when he totaled 14 sacks. The Bears defense has been one of the biggest highlights of their resurgent 2025 season, and adding Parsons would make Chicago an extremely dangerous and lethal unit.
