PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Calvin Anderson, who has served as the team’s swing tackle, was limited on Wednesday with a knee injury. It is unknown if Anderson suffered the injury during practice or at some other point, but his injury could lead to someone from the practice squad getting a chance.
The Steelers have multiple offensive lineman on the practice squad that can play tackle in Dylan Cook, Jack Driscoll, and Steven Jones. Andrus Peat is the team’s starting left tackle moving forward with Broderick Jones likely out for the rest of the season due to a neck injury.
Anderson serves as the team’s top reserve at left and right tackle, and so him missing time would be a hit to their depth across the offensive line.
Pittsburgh has remained largely healthy throughout the season, but as they have continued to play more games, the injuries have racked up for the Steelers. Anderson is just the latest player to be added to the injury report.
The Steelers face the Baltimore Ravens in a critical AFC North matchup on Sunday, and it feels like a must-win game for the team if they want a shot at making the playoffs this season.
