After announcing finalists for the 2025 Coach of the Year awards on Tuesday, FootballScoop on Thursday proudly announced finalists for the off-field Coach of the Year awards on Thursday, presented by Teamworks.

Now in its 18th year, the FootballScoop Coach of the Year awards program is the only of its kind to college football to honor excellence on and off the field across all position groups, from FBS to NAIA, and in the major off-field departments that are necessary for any program to run successfully. The FootballScoop Coach of the Year awards program also stands alone in that winners are chosen by prior winners.

Teamworks Coaching and Teamworks Scouting have quickly become essential platforms inside college football offices. As programs sharpen their game-prep processes, strengthen roster management, and prepare for the transfer portal, these platforms are shaping how staffs operate across the country.

Mirroring the evolution of the game itself, the FootballScoop Coach of the Year awards program has grown alongside the proliferation of off-field positions within college football. The Strength Coach of the Year began with the awards program’s inception in 2008; a DFO award was added in 2009, and the Personnel Director of the Year award was created in 2013. This year, FootballScoop will honor a General Manager of the Year for the first time. Additionally, today FootballScoop is announcing we will be creating a separate award for FCS – Director of Operations of the Year. Nominations for that award are now being accepted and Finalists will be announced next week.

Winners of these awards will be announced beginning Monday, Dec. 15th, and will be honored in conjunction with the American Football Coaches Association convention beginning Jan. 12 in Charlotte.
