Carolina waived King on Tuesday from its 53-man roster. After clearing waivers, King is set to return to the team.

King was a seventh-round pick to the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 NFL draft. He spent all of last year in Green Bay but was released prior to this season.

The Panthers added King to its practice squad at the start of the season, and he appeared in last week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams as he was promoted to the active roster.

King was with the Nittany Lions from 2021-23. He played in 38 games, accumulating 82 tackles, 25 pass break ups and three interceptions.
