Ahead of the 2025 NFL draft earlier this year, NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks published a list of prospects he described as future All-Pros, Pro Bowlers and overachievers in this year’s class.

The All-Pros were headlined by Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, who was picked second overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Pro Bowlers included UNC running back Omarion Hampton (picked by the Los Angeles Chargers) and Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron, the Denver Broncos‘ first-round draft pick.

Brooks described Michigan cornerback Will Johnson and Barron as “intriguing CB1 candidates with special skills that could help them flourish in multi-faceted roles.” Johnson was picked by the Arizona Cardinals.

Not even Pat Surtain, Denver’s ninth overall pick in 2021, made the Pro Bowl in his rookie season, so Barron would need to have an incredible year to earn all-star recognition in 2025. Following his rookie season, PS2 has earned three straight Pro Bowl nods, and he won Defensive Player of the Year last fall.

Barron doesn’t have to reach Surtain’s level to be considered a success, but if Brooks is right, the young cornerback might be poised to join PS2 at future Pro Bowls.
