For the second month in a row, the Seattle Seahawks have a player named player of the month.

At first glance this may be surprising to some Seahawks fans considering the missed field goal by Myers against the Los Angeles Rams. However, that was a 61-yard field goal, definitely not a chip shot. And even more important, Myers has been rock solid all year, especially in November.

Throughout November, Myers led the NFL with 15 field goals made (three from 50+), was tied for second for second overall in the NFL with 16 extra points and led the NFL with 61 total points. During November, Myers also set the Seahawks franchise record for field goals made, surpassing Stephen Hauschka, who previously had 175. To date, Myers has 187 field goals, with that number only going to get higher over the rest of the season.

Myers isn’t just hitting his field goals, either; he is excelling in the kickoff game. According to Elias Sports Bureau, Seahawks opponents are facing the worst starting field position with an average of 27.3.

Overall, Myers is having a heck of a season, and he will need to continue this dominance throughout December and into the postseason for Seattle to have a shot of playing into February.
