For the first time in over a week, the Miami Dolphins had a player missing from practice. Defensive tackle Benito Jones was absent Thursday with the reason listed as “personal/ankle.”
Jones has been on the injury report in recent weeks due to an ankle injury, but managed to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints despite being questionable. His absence Thursday likely doesn’t jeopardize his chances of playing in Week 14 against the New York Jets after practicing fully Wednesday.
The other updates were that center Aaron Brewer and special teamer Elijah Campbell joined the group of limited players due to injuries. Brewer was listed as a full participant Wednesday, despite ankle and neck injuries. On Thursday, the Dolphins added knee to the lineman’s list of issues.
The good news, though, is that both cornerback Rasul Douglas and fullback Alec Ingold were able to participate fully after working on a limited basis Wednesday.
Here’s what the injury report looked like Thursday ahead of the Dolphins’ matchup against the Jets:

The Jets welcomed back pass rusher Jermaine Johnson and cornerback Qwan’tez Stiggers back to practice on a limited basis after both sat out Wednesday. New York also added backup quarterback Justin Fields to the injury report as a limited participant due to a knee injury.
