The Arizona Cardinals made some changes to their practice squad this week over a couple of different days. They announced moves on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

To start the week, they released running backs Montrell Johnson Jr. and Sincere McCormick from the practice squad, freeing up a pair of spots. Veteran tight end Pharaoh Brown, who had been elevated to the active roster in each of the last three games. was signed to the active roster, giving the Cardinals three total vacancies.

They added three players.

OLB Eku Leota

Leota is a 6-4, 257-pound edge defender. He played in three games earlier this season with New Orleans after being elevated from the Saints practice squad. He has appeared in 14 games (one start) in his NFL career after entering the league in 2023 with Carolina as an undrafted rookie free agent from Auburn. Leota has eight tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss and two quarterback hits in his career. He played in 10 games with the Panthers (2023-24) and one game last season with the Steelers.

RB Jermar Jefferson

Jefferson had been on the practice squad until last week, when he was signed to the active roster. He played six snaps on special teams on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was released on Monday, cleared waivers and then re-signed to the practice squad.

WR Bryson Green

Green is back with the Cardinals. He was one of the Cardinals’ undrafted rookie signings after the draft but was released as part of final cuts. He was signed to the practice squad in October, released at the end of October and now returns.
