Florida State football star defensive lineman Darrell Jackson has officially declared for the NFL Draft.
Jackson announced his decision to officially declare for the draft in a post on Instagram. The Havana native and Gasden County High School product spent three seasons with the Seminoles program.
“FSU made me tougher. It made me wiser. It made me a better an. And even though my laying days there are behind me, the lessons, the memories, and the pride of being a Seminole will stay with me for life,” Jackson wrote. “To every fan, coach, teammate and supporter, thank you for being part of my journey. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for making Tallahassee a place I will always call home.”
The redshirt senior played his final season in Garnet and Gold after withdrawing his name from the 2025 NFL Draft, and he was one of the most influential players on the Seminoles roster. Jackson drew consistent double teams, and even at times triple teams, from opposing offensive linemen, and he helped mentor star freshmen Manrdell Desir, Daryll Desir, and Kevin Wynn.
He recorded 45 tackles and a sack in his final season and was named to the All-ACC honorable mention team. Jackson is considered one of the top 10 defensive line prospects in the draft, and various mock drafts and rankings have Jackson being drafted in the first three rounds of the draft.
