Is this perhaps a playoff elimination game in the NFC?

The Dallas Cowboys have won three in a row to get to 6-5-1 and still have a shot at the playoffs, whether through the Wild Card or the NFC East title. It’s a different story for the Detroit Lions, who might be 7-5 but are third behind the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, having been swept by the latter. Their return to the playoffs hinges heavily upon winning not just tonight’s game, but also next week against the Los Angeles Rams, as well as home versus the Pittsburgh Steelers and at the Chicago Bears. I’m not sure 10-7 is good enough for a playoff spot in the NFC, so Detroit’s room for error is minimal.

As noted earlier in the week, two Seattle Seahawks wins + two Lions losses and a Cowboys loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14 would be enough to see the Seahawks in the playoffs by the end of Week 15. Doesn’t seem likely but it’s something worth considering as a possibility.
