Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers provided fans with an important update on his left wrist fracture ahead of the Week 14 divisional contest against the Baltimore Ravens.
Addressing his wrist fracture with reporters on Wednesday, Rodgers shared some good news on the setback he suffered against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.
“It’s definitely healing,” Rodgers said about his fractured left wrist. “I appreciate [having Wednesday off]. I love to practice so I hate missing practice. But dealing with what I’m dealing with, it helps to get another day without any pounding on the bones in there.
“We’ll see what happens. I’d love to get under center. That’ll probably be a later-in-the-week decision. I didn’t come out of [Week 13] any worse for wear, so the healing process has continued and we’ll see what happens as far as the type of cast I use come Sunday.”
After missing one game with his wrist fracture, Rodgers returned in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills and completed just 10 out of 21 pass attempts for zero touchdowns and one fumble loss, finishing the contest with a dreadful 65.0 passer rating.
With three weeks of healing since he fractured his left wrist, Rodgers will look to rebound against the Ravens in what’s a must-win matchup for Pittsburgh as the two 6-6 AFC North rivals look to solidify their place atop the division.
