The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14, another game at home, and it is time to take a look at what some of the people who label themselves as “experts” think about the upcoming game.

Will Aaron Rodgers be able to get the offense back on track and lead the Steelers to a must-needed win?

Or will the Ravens follow the Bills’ blueprint and get back on track and have a huge win to claim sole ownership of the AFC North?

There is a lot going on with this game, and the experts are certainly forecasting a close game, regardless of who they have leaving the week with a victory. When it comes to the odds for the game, the Steelers are currently getting 5.5 points with a total of 42.5, keep that in mind as you check out what the experts believe will take place.

Before going any further, understand there are two types of websites when it comes to expert picks. There are those who have all their experts just click a box, and those who have experts provide some reasoning behind their selection. An example of the former would be the panel at ESPN. There they have only 2 of the 11 NFL experts at ESPN like the Steelers to get their latest win at M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday.

As for those experts who put more thought into their picks outside of just checking a box, the panel at Bleacher Report gave their predictions for how they see the Steelers game going, versus the spread:

Hanford: Ravens (-5.5)

History says these games are almost always decided by a field goal or less, even when it doesn’t make sense, but the Steelers just feel broken. You could argue Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ struggles on offense are just as noteworthy, but only one of these head coaches heard chants in their home stadium last week calling for their job.

Baltimore came out flat against a Bengals team welcoming its QB back into the fold, but there’s no such inspiration coming from Pittsburgh. Derrick Henry paces the offense against a defense that can’t slow anything down, and the Ravens win by a touchdown.

Moton: Steelers ( 5.5)

This feels like a rallying point for the Steelers after their fans chanted, “Fire Tomlin” last week. Remember, this is a veteran-led locker room with several key players who have been tied to Tomlin over the years. We often get caught up in numbers, but players and coaches also respond to outside noise and motivation. Along with a head coach under fire, Pittsburgh is playing to reclaim the top spot in the AFC North.

Keep in mind that the Ravens are struggling on both sides of the ball. They just lost 32-14 to the Cincinnati Bengals at home. Also, in 11 games against Pittsburgh, Lamar Jackson has completed just 58 percent of his passes, and he’s thrown more interceptions (nine) than touchdowns (eight). This game is a field-goal toss-up. Don’t be surprised if new Steelers receiver Adam Thielen makes an immediate impact in a tight division battle that could go either way.

Predictions

Steelers: Davenport, Moton, Sobleski

Ravens: Gagnon, Hanford, Knox, O’Donnell

The experts on the Sports Illustrated staff also provided general picks for the upcoming AFC North game, and if you are someone who likes to see people pick against the Steelers, this would not be your bread-and-butter. The SI crew only one of their experts taking the Steelers and heavily leaning on the home team when it comes to who they like on Sunday.

Clare Brennan: Ravens
Mitch Goldich: Ravens
Gilberto Manzano: Ravens
Conor Orr: Steelers
John Pluym: Ravens
Matt Verderame: Ravens

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has picked the Steelers to beat most of their opponents to date in 2025. However, it was Prisco’s Week 13 game where he correctly picked the Steelers losing to the Bills at home. What does he think about Week 14 AFC North game?

“This is for first place in the AFC North. Both teams are coming off bad losses, both at home. Neither team is playing well, but the Ravens are playing a little better. The Steelers have major defensive issues. Look for a big game by Derrick Henry as the Ravens win it behind a big rushing performance.”

Pick: Ravens 27, Steelers 14

At NFL.com, all 5 of the experts are all-in on the Ravens in this Week 14 contest. While that might stun some reading this, one of their staff writers always gives an explanation as to why he is making the pick of the Ravens this Sunday.

Ali – Ravens 24-17
Brooke – Ravens 30-20
Dan – Ravens 23-18
Gennaro – Ravens 24-16
Tom – Ravens 23-18

Why Gennaro picked the Ravens: It’s hard to remember a time when the vibes were this bad in Pittsburgh. The Steelers just suffered their fifth loss in seven weeks, giving up the most rushing yards in a home game in 50 years. As that humiliating defeat to Buffalo played out this past Sunday, Steelers fans unleashed “Fi-re Tom-lin” chants and mercilessly booed Renegade. Aaron Rodgers, who was briefly sidelined by a blood-inducing hit, was visibly angry with teammates during the game and aired his grievances to the press afterward. Mike Tomlin understands the mounting discontent in The ‘Burgh, but it’s hard to imagine the league’s longest-tenured coach is thrilled seeing two of his former players piling on, with Steelers icons Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison suggesting it could be time for a divorce. Meanwhile, it’s not exactly sunshine and rainbows over in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson just hasn’t looked like Lamar Jackson since his return from injury. Over the last three games, the two-time MVP has zero touchdowns and five turnovers. And the Steelers have given him fits through the years. That said, this year’s Pittsburgh defense is anything but a Steel Curtain. The unit is giving up 365.1 yards per game, which currently ranks 28th in the league and dead last in the proud history of this franchise. As one of the best rivalries in football, Steelers-Ravens is never easy to handicap. But while both sides enter this game at 6-6, the visiting team seems more likely to dip below .500 — and, quite possibly, stay there for the first losing season of the Tomlin era.
