Despite a seven game losing streak, the Commanders are as tight as ever inside the locker room.

The Washington Commanders were riding high after the 2024 season. The team went on a surprising run to the NFC Championship Game last year, and there was no reason to think the team couldn’t return to that point this season.

Unfortunately, injuries and inconsistency have completely derailed the season. The Commanders have lost seven games in a row and are now sitting at 3-9 and won’t make the playoffs. With such a disappointing season, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear about finger-pointing and overall bad vibes in the locker room.

However, starting guard Sam Cosmi spoke with the media on Thursday and revealed the exact opposite has been true for the Commanders.

“Normally when you have bad times like this, you have a lot of negativity,” Cosmi explained. “I just don’t feel that in the building, which is a great thing.”

Perhaps no moment better encapsulated the Commanders’ brotherhood than a recent clip from “Hard Knocks.” The team was informed that Tavita Pritchard took the head coaching job at Stanford, and the excitement was palpable, and the vibes were great.

“It goes from the head down. What DQ (Dan Quinn) has done here, just the culture aspect of things,” Cosmi continued. “We don’t question what he believes in; we believe in him.”

It’s incredibly hard to remain positive during a seven-game losing streak, but clearly, whatever Dan Quinn is doing is working.

The team is set to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14 and could get star quarterback Jayden Daniels back. The postseason is out of the picture, but finishing on a positive note and heading into the offseason with some momentum would be huge.
