MIAMI GARDENS — The new knee injury for Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer is nothing that should keep him off the field.

Brewer is bound to practice Friday and appears to be in good standing to play Sunday’s game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, according to Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel.

“It’s a product of going after it in practice,” McDaniel said of the minor knee issue. “A bump and bruise type of situation. Not something we’re concerned about.”

Brewer popped up on the Thursday injury report with a new knee injury that wasn’t on the Wednesday report. He was limited Thursday after practicing in full Wednesday.

Brewer has not missed a start between this season and last since joining the Dolphins in free agency after his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

Dolphins defensive tackle Benito Jones is also good to go after missing Thursday practice, according to McDaniel.

Jones has been receiving treatment on an ankle ailment, but he missed Thursday drills due to personal reasons.

Miami safety and special teams ace Elijah Campbell is the only player on the active roster who won’t practice Friday, according to McDaniel.

Campbell had a new ankle injury surface Thursday that limited him at the day’s drills, and his status is now in doubt for Sunday’s game against the Jets.

—Dolphins practice squad wide receiver A.J. Henning was suspended by commissioner Roger Goodell for performance-enhancing drugs Thursday, according to the league’s transaction wire.
