Carolina Panthers start rookie minicamp after releasing Rock Hill native
CCarolina Panthers

Looking at the Panthers’ path to the playoffs on The Point After

  • December 5, 2025

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Carolina Panthers are on a bye this week, but that hasn’t kept fans from dreaming of the playoffs.

With four games to go, the Panthers are very much still in the playoff race, especially when it comes to the battle for the NFC South division title. Carolina enters its bye week just a half game behind the rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South standings, and if Tampa loses this weekend, the two teams would be tied.

We took a look at how the Panthers can sneak into the playoffs, plus the college football action that will happen at Bank of America Stadium this weekend while the Panthers are away.

Catch all that and more Charlotte sports news on Friday’s episode of The Point After. Tune in at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, in the video player up above.
