The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without rookie Donte Kent for the remainder of the 2025 NFL season, team spokesperson Burt Lauten announced on Friday via X.
“After returning to practice from Reserve/Injured on December 3rd, Steelers CB Donte Kent sustained a new injury that will cause him to miss the remainder of the 2025 season,” Lauten writes.
This marks the second cornerback Pittsburgh has lost for the year, as Cory Trice didn’t get activated within his 21-day window, ending his season. Kent was drafted in the seventh round out of Central Michigan in the 2025 NFL Draft. He was placed on IR at the end of August and returned to practice on Wednesday, but his rookie season will go down as a redshirt year, with him not seeing the field.
