The Arizona Cardinals are turning the page at quarterback – at least for the rest of 2025.
Rich Eisen laid out the sudden shift on Friday’s episode of “The Rich Eisen Show” as the Cardinals get ready for the Los Angeles Rams.
“Brissett is going to be starting for the Arizona Cardinals against the Rams this weekend – and for the Arizona Cardinals for the rest of the season,” Eisen said.
He also noted that Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced that the injury is “not progressing where it’s [going to] make sense that he can go.”

Through five games, Murray has completed 110 of 161 passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Eisen posed a looming question to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero that’s been on many fans’ minds.
“Is he done in Arizona, Tom? I think it’s a fair question to ask,” Eisen said.
“Would another team be willing to take on $60 million of guaranteed money for Kyler Murray…I think by any logical measure here, Rich, you’d say Kyler Murray is probably going to be someplace else in 2026.” Pelissero said.

Currently sitting at 3-9, Pelissero discussed a multitude of things that contributed to the Cardinals current situation.
“You’re in year three of the program. You’d like to think by this point, you’ve learned to win more than the Cardinals seem to have learned how to win.” Pelissero said. “He still has in 2026, almost $40 million fully guaranteed, and another almost $20 million becomes fully guaranteed if Kyler is still on the roster as of March 15th.”
All in all, Pelissero believes Murray will call a new team home next season.

“This is part of what’s going to be, I believe, Rich, a really, really busy and fascinating quarterback carousel… as we get through January and towards Super Bowl week.”
