The Atlanta Falcons will take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta is currently 4-8 and 3rd in the NFC South division. Seattle is 9-3 and 2nd in the NFC West. But Atlanta will be without star wide receiver Drake London.
London was injured in their Week 11, 27-30 overtime loss to division rival, the Carolina Panthers, late in the game. But before that, London had seven catches for 119 yards. The Falcons played hard and could’ve won, but they ultimately lost.
Atlanta took on the New Orleans Saints in Week 12 and defeated them 24-10 in their divisional showdown. The Falcons could have used London, but other players like Darnell Mooney and David Sills were able to shoulder the workload, with both having receiving touchdowns.
Atlanta took on the New York Jets in Week 13 and lost 27-24. London was also absent for that game.
Update On Drake London
London was categorized as day-to-day by head coach Raheem Morris, as it was reported by the Falcons, but is officially ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
It was reported by Tori McElhaney of the official team site that London did not participate in practice on Wednesday and was on a separate field working with athletic trainers. London missed practice on Thursday as well, not practicing at all this week.
London has had a terrific season, having 60 catches for 810 yards and six touchdowns in only nine games played. He may even be voted to the Pro Bowl, and it would make sense because he’s one of the best receivers in the NFL. His best game was against the New England Patriots in Week 9, where they lost 24-23.
In that contest, London had nine catches for 118 yards and three touchdowns. PFSN has London at an 85.5 wide receiver Impact Score.
London is a great receiver who can make a lot of plays for the Falcons and has been a go-to target for whoever is throwing him the ball.
