A final decision has been made regarding ex-Steelers CB Darius Slay’s refusal to report to the Buffalo Bills after he was claimed off waivers.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bills have placed Slay on the reserve/did not report list, retaining his contract rights as the former Steelers cornerback mulls over his NFL future.

Interestingly enough, the Philadelphia Eagles were reportedly interested in a reunion with Slay, placing a claim to acquire him. The Bills had priority, however, giving them first grabs at the veteran defender.

With Slay landing on the reserve/did not report list, the Bills won’t have to waste a roster spot as they await his final decision, forcing his hand to either play in Buffalo for five games or retire.
