Could the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense get a big boost before their Week 14 game against the Colts?

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense could be getting a big boost ahead of their Week 14 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.

On the Jaguars‘ final injury report, defensive end Travon Walker is officially listed as questionable.

Walker has been sidelined for the last two games with a knee injury that he suffered against the LA Chargers. Walker returned to practice for the first time on Thursday.

Although the Jaguars seemed to be in wait-and-see mode when it comes to how Walker felt after Friday’s practice, he did seem to be feeling well after Thursday.

“It was great to have Travon back out there,” said Liam Coen of Thursday’s practice. “Watching him buzz around in indy (individual drills) a little bit. Talking to him this morning, he’s confident, feels positive right now, so we’ll see what it looks like out there today. Buzz around on ‘Fast Friday,’ see what that looks like, but he’s excited.”

Walker’s presence — if he is cleared to play — would obviously boost the pass rush, but also provide the Jaguars with added help in the run game.

The play of the Jaguars’ defensive front will go a long way in determining the outcome of Sunday’s game.

For one, containing Jonathan Taylor is always going to be a key factor in this matchup with the Colts. But in addition to that, the Colts’ passing game has had its ups and downs when Daniel Jones has had to deal with pressure.

Inactives for Sunday’s game will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff. At that point, we will know for certain whether or not Walker will be available to play.
