A weekly article we post that gives a brief overview of how national media members view the Pittsburgh Steelers’ odds. Just a skinny summary of notable names who are picking for or against Pittsburgh. We’ll see who gets it right most often. If they offer a score prediction, we include that, too. When applicable, I’ll toss in the predictions from Dave Bryan and myself to see how we stack up.

Today, predictions for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 14 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Quick Notes

– USA Today’s Jarrett Bell isn’t quitting on the Steelers. Picking them to beat Buffalo last week, he’s picking Pittsburgh to win this week.

– Including the playoffs, a loss to Baltimore would mark Pittsburgh’s first three-game losing streak to the Ravens since a four-game losing streak spanning 2015-2016.

– It would also be the Steelers’ eighth straight season that contained a three-game losing streak. The last time Pittsburgh didn’t experience one was 2017 when the Steelers lost three games the entire year.

– Pittsburgh and Baltimore hold the NFL’s two longest active streaks for avoiding shutouts. The Steelers haven’t been shut out in a game since 2006 – which came against the Ravens.

The Ravens haven’t been shut out in a game since 2002 – which came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had Mike Tomlin on their coaching staff.

– Entering Week 14, the AFC North and NFC South are the only two divisions that don’t have a single team with a positive point differential.

– Lamar Jackson has not thrown a touchdown pass in three-straight games.

– Kenneth Gainwell ranks sixth among NFL running backs in run-success rate (56.6 percent). Jaylen Warren ranks 14th (55 percent).

If those numbers hold, Gainwell would have the fifth-highest mark of any Steelers running back since at least 1982. Warren would slot eighth. The record is 70.2 percent by Warren Williams in 1991, though he had only 57 carries.
