Cardinals-Rams injury report: Marvin Harrison Jr. out

The Arizona Cardinals, for the third straight day on Friday, took the practice field without wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) and running back Trey Benson (knee).

That key offensive duo will be out against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

So, too, will running back Emari Demercado (ankle), who was limited for two days before sitting out of practice Friday. Wide receiver and return man Greg Dortch (chest) is out, while Xavier Weaver (hamstring) is questionable.

Linebacker Josh Sweat returned to practice in full and will play after a pair of rest days, but rookie defensive lineman Walter Nolen III (knee) and backup safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson (ankle) are out.

Offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum was upgraded from a nonparticipant to limited in practice on Thursday. He’s questionable.

Harrison’s heel injury popped up in Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“He’s going to see the doctor later on here,” head coach Jonathan Gannon told Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo on Monday. “Max Melton didn’t go this last week because of a heel, kind of a similar injury. Those are tricky. Marv, he kept going back in the game and you watch him run and he’s running great, but then when he walks or jogs, it doesn’t look great. It’s a tough injury … we’ll just take it day-by-day with him.”

Melton is out against the Rams, too.

Benson had been limited while working his way off injured reserve with a knee issue.

Nolen continued to miss practice time after suffering a knee injury in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

For the Rams, cornerback Darious Williams (tibia) is doubtful, while receiver Tutu Atwell (hamstring) and nose tackle Poona Ford (calf) are questionable.

Wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) returned to full-go after being limited earlier in the week, as did running back Kyren Williams (ankle).
