Atwell is healthy but the Rams don’t have room on their roster for him right now

Tutu Atwell isn’t expected to play this week against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, which will be his sixth straight missed game. Sean McVay told reporters on Friday that Atwell’s not expected to be activated off injured reserve.
Atwell is healthy, but the Rams don’t have room on their roster right now, so he will have to stay on injured reserve for at least another week. The Rams only have one more week to decide whether they will activate him. If he’s not activated before the 21-day window closes, he’ll stay on IR for the rest of the season.
Earlier this week, McVay said he isn’t sure if Atwell will be activated at all this season, so it’s possible he remain on IR for the rest of the year.
This season, Atwell has caught four passes for 164 yards and one touchdown, struggling to carve out a role for himself despite signing a $10 million contract in the offseason.
With Atwell still on IR, the Rams are leaning more on Xavier Smith, Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield behind Davante Adams and Puka Nacua.
