The Miami Dolphins’ first win of the season came against the New York Jets in Week 4. Miami fans were happy to see their team get its first win, and Dolphins fantasy managers were just as happy.

Miami’s players woke up for the Week 4 division matchup, and a few players put together worthy performances. It doesn’t hurt that the Week 14 matchup will give Miami’s players a chance against a weaker Jets defense.

New York sent off their two best defensive players, Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner, ahead of the trade deadline. With the Jets seemingly in full tank mode, this is another opportunity for Miami to continue its momentum.

Here are seven Dolphins/Jets players who could help or hurt your Week 14 fantasy lineup:

SIT: Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is best suited for fantasy football benches at this point, and even a favorable matchup isn’t enough to push him into the starting lineup.

In Week 4, Tagovailoa had just 15.68 points. The Dolphins may have won, but it wasn’t because Miami was relying on a prolific passing attack.

The Miami quarterback has had just two games of more than 20 fantasy points, and there is little reason to expect him to score that much this go around, especially on a cold day in East Rutherford.

START: Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle

Like Tagovailoa, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle didn’t have an especially impressive performance in Week 4. But there is a reason to believe he finds more production Sunday.

Waddle has been a fairly reliable fantasy option this season, but one of his worst games of the season came in Week 4. The changes to the New York defense, though, could make Waddle’s life easier.

He had three catches for 48 yards last time. But with him solidified as the No. 1 option in Miami, Gardner now in Indianapolis, and injuries in the New York secondary, Waddle is better set up to produce for fantasy owners.

START: Dolphins TE Darren Waller

Tight end Darren Waller had his Dolphins debut in the first game against the Jets. Despite playing just 16 total snaps, Waller scored 17.7 PPR fantasy points.

While he had a productive day, his points came from inconsistent places. He had three catches for 27 yards, but his two touchdowns made him much more relevant in the fantasy conversation.

He was targeted on 25 percent of his snaps, though, and with him finding his place following another injury, the hope is that he is regularly featured Sunday.

SIT: Dolphins WR Malik Washington

Unless in deeper fantasy leagues, receiver Malik Washington should get his usual treatment. He’s been a regular piece of the offense, but not enough to garner fantasy football starts.

Washington likely won’t face a very tough matchup, but he can’t be relied on to see valuable touches in the offense. And with the offenses’ best players both being running backs, it’s likely the game isn’t decided by the teams’ passing attacks.

START: Jets WR Adonai Mitchell

While Adonai Mitchell is yet to become a reliable part of the Jets’ offense, he’s flashing plenty of ability. Mitchell has separated well in his three games with New York, but the Jets’ quarterbacks are still working on connecting with him more regularly.

Mitchell has 25 targets through three games, and last week was easily his best game. He had eight catches for 102 yards and a touchdown and has the ability to put together a strong game for fantasy owners this week.

START: Jets RB Breece Hall

Like Miami’s offense, New York relies on its running back to move the ball. Just like in Week 4, Breece Hall should get a heavy dose of touches this week.

Hall had 14 carries for 81 yards and five catches for 30 yards in the first meeting between Miami and New York. With the quarterback position seeing little consistency, Hall should be a heavy part of the Jets’ offense, even if they look to pass often.

SIT: Jets QB Tyrod Taylor

Only fantasy managers in deep leagues should even consider Tyrod Taylor as a fantasy option this week. Taylor had a respectable 21.28 fantasy points last week, but it’s hard to count on much from him.

It’s possible the New York passing attack is more reliable with Taylor at the helm, but he shouldn’t be starting in standard leagues this week.
