With four defensive linemen and a starting linebacker among those listed as out or questionable, it made sense for Cleveland to elevate a defender from the practice squad. With two offensive linemen already ruled out, it seemed likely they would also elevate someone from that group.
Henry (6-4, 255) is in his third NFL season out of Clemson. Originally a fifth-round pick by Washington in 2023, Henry has appeared in 14 career games with three starts with the Commanders (2023), Bengals (2024) and Cowboys (2024). He has recorded 22 career tackles and 2.5 sacks. Henry will wear No. 90.
With Watson still on Injured Reserve, four of Cleveland’s seven inactive players will be TE Brenden Bates, OL Jack Conklin, DT Adin Huntington, and OL Wyatt Teller. With five players listed as questionable, elevating just one player seems to indicate that at least two of them will be able to play on Sunday. If not, the Browns would have elevated a second player instead of playing a man down on the active roster.
